I am a Doctor of Musical Arts-Composition, currently teaching music theory and composition at Brevard College, Brevard, NC. I compose in both Just Intonation and standard tuning, and I have written music for film, theatre, chamber groups, choir, electronics, and jazz/rock ensembles. My work has recently been featured at the Mostly Modern Festival in upstate NY, a festival devoted to new art music, organized by Robert and Victoria Paterson. I have over 30 years' experience as a professional musician, having worked as a performer, arranger, teacher, director, composer, conductor, and recording artist. I have experience in a diversity of styles as well, including classical, rock, pop, jazz, blues, folk, gospel, music theatre, world, and experimental electronic.
